Musically, it is no competition for the major label issues. Balance is rather bizarre, with the orchestra overwhelming both chorus and, particularly, the soloists, who often sound like they are off in another room. Given that it is a 5 channel recording, there is a missed opportunity by not placing the offstage trumpets in the rear of the hall for the Tuba Mirum.
