sound
The sound is very good!
Very Good Hard Bop Album
A Blue Note featuring performances Donald Byrd and Jackie McLean combined with a great sounding Rudy Van Gelder recording. Byrd's open sounding trumpet is really well recorded. The piano sounds good too. I would give the album 4 1/2 stars for the playing and sound.
Wonderful!
Very nice recording. I just love these tape transfers. Hard to believe recordings as old as this sound as fresh as they do.
