Fantastic!
This recording made me feel as if I were hearing a live orchestra more than 99% of my recordings (I have around 10000). I know the music moderately well, but here I almost felt as if I was hearing it for the first time! The sound is spectacular; but your stereo system should be up to the task of reproducing both delicacy and monumental crescendos. A magnificent recording. A five star rating.

Superb performances; Outstanding transfers
The Bernstein performance of the Rite of Spring is one of the classic performances of this work - dramatic, full of life and energy, great tension and savagery, but then alternately soft and lyrical as called upon - I love it. And the transfer in the DXD version I'm listening to is simply gorgeous. The performance of accompanying La Mer is a favorite in our household. We value the clarity of Boulez' performance, but the Bernstein simply causes us to fall in love with Debussy's music each time we listen to it. Another outstanding transfer by HDTT. Very well done, HDTT!! Highly recommended.

Stravinsky Le Sacre Du Printemps & Debussy La Mer - Bernstein The New York Philharmonic Orchestra,
Eine hervorragende Aufnahme. Die Klangqualität ist, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Einspielung mit den NYP und Bernstein schon mehr als 60 Jahre zurückliegt, beeindruckend. Unbedingt empfehlenswert! Peter K.

Superb Stravinsky, Excellent Debussy!
Bernstein's Rite of Sping is for the Ages! The HDTT DSD128 remastering is just incredible. This could be your ultimate Stravinsky Rite! Highly Recommended!

Greatness made even greater
This 1958 recording of Le Sacre by Bernstein and the NYPhil, made in a Brooklyn hotel ballroom legendary for its acoustics, is reiered for the excellence of the interpretation/performance as well as the sonics. One of the great "Le Sacres" on record. I got to know this performance on a download from another Hi-Rez site, and found it amazing, thrilling, and top drawer. But now that I have it in Bob Witrak's DXD sound, I'm even more pleased. This is clearly the sonic superior to the other Hi-Rez recording. There's much more punch, slam, and bite in the brasses (which really helps any recording of this work). There's also more low level detail, so that you can hear the occasional imperfections, however slight, in the woodwind playing. The Debussy is also a winner, and a bonus. It compares favorably with the Reiner/Chicago that's also available here on HDTT. Both works are in knockout sound here, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to any audiophile music lover.
