Polished Elegance in excellent sound quality
If you enjoy Strauss Waltzes, it gets no better than this Living Stereo release that has been beautifully transferred by HDTT. Lewis Layton delivers another great recording from Chicago's Orchestra Hall, and Reiner has his orchestra performing with precision and grace. The sound quality is all that one might hope: clean, transparent, and with excellent instrument detail. And with the usual best traits of an excellent HDTT transfer. Why not Five Stars? Simply the music content - very attractive, but not at what I need for that fifth star.
