Very good sound
This album is a great performance and good sound.
Fantastic
A must buy for your collection - the detail of the recording is sublime and most enjoyable music. Don’t hesitate buying this one.
Sonny Meets Hawk
1) The sonic quality was very good. 2) I did not think they were taking this recording seriously, these two masters of their instruments could have done much better. They were a bit too full of themselves.
Improvising is risking
A listening experience of the two virtuosi as unusual as exciting. Surely not for everyone. The recording meets the high standards we are used to by HDDT, but the rhythm group and Bley's piano seems -to my ears and taste- too underexposed.
The battle of the two greatest jazz saxophonists of all time !
This album is a best seller to have. The beauty of the sax is magnificent and a beautiful purity. When you listen to this album, all the emotion is present because of this preserved sound quality. Long life the dsd version.
