Disappointing
I was expecting a Roman Spectacular but ended up with a dud. Maybe in surround sound this recording comes off, but in two channel it is very dull sounding, extremely lacking in highs and impact. Plenty of bass, but monolithic in soundstaging. Disappointing!
Great recording
Great recording and superb performance
Pleasant surprise
Hard to believe that you are listening to a non-professional orchestra. Performances match the best. Sound is spectacular - love the unexpected rear cannel trumpet work in Roman Festivals.
Respighi Roman Triligy
A Surround Sound Spectacular!
Respighi Roman Trilogy - Franz Anton Krager, conductor - Texas Music Festival Orchestra
The Respighi Roman Trilogy is an amazing work. The performance here is very solid. It is well mastered but the original recording is not optimum.
