Fantastic Remastering by HDDT!
Wow the sound on this is spectacular! The 2 pieces brilliance shines through like never before (I have the CD versions from the original label). BRAVO AGAIN HDTT!!

Bravo Kenneth Wilkinson
This superbly-engineered Decca recording from January 1959 demonstrates to me why the early stereo years, roughly 1956-66, are often referred to as the heyday of the record industry. Please, HDTT, bring us as many Kenneth Wilkinson products as you can; his engineering in orchestral recordings has never been equalled, in my view, apart from the Mercury Living Presence discs by Robert Fine. Not to mention the sparkling, lively performances from Katchen and Boult - a powerhouse Rachmaninoff and a Dohnanyi that sparkles with virtuosity and tongue-in-cheek good humour from first note to last. Superb in every way, and with the original cover art to boot!
