Night Lights - Gerry Mulligan DSD 64
A resonant, mellow sound that can provide an essential escape from the pressures of these troubled times. Bought it on a whim, have played it many times already, a keeper.

Beautiful jazz, great sound
Mulligan and his crew of friends are in top form here. The music is utterly beguiling late-night ballad jazz, as you might expect from the album title, but it is seductive and infectious ballad jazz. I haven't been able to stop listening to this, at least once a day, since the download. And given the typically superb pure DSD 256 sonics from HDTT, five stars is a no-brainer for me. Great one!

Great Late Night Groove
I will second Andreas' comment about the slightly recessed soundstage but I think it is because of the producers choice of left and right pan with the occasional center instrument. I like soundstage quite a bit ( I use open baffle speakers) but that being said please don't let that put you off of this album. The tone and timbre are wonderful on this recording. The feeling of the tunes is brought out by the recording and this makes appreciating the music that much easier. Very tasteful if you are in the right frame of mind. Certainly a mellow type of album but I enjoy that feeling immensely especially in the evenings. IMO, well worth the price as usual from HDTT. I purchased the DSD128 download.

Night Lights - Gerry Mulligan
Superb album and great sound (DSD64) !

Amazing album
Night Lights is truly a masterwork, both in the audio quality and the musicianship. This is fast becoming one of my favorite albums. It sounds spectacular, as the HDTT always do, but especially so on this release. Highly recommended.
