Masterful Mozart
This is vintage Mozart, call it "old fashioned" if you like. Great orchestra and a conductor who seems to be undervalued these days. I loved the performance of No.36 Linz. The Prague is right up there too. When these were released on LP, the performances were highly valued, but seemed to have vanished from circulation in recent years. Many thanks to HDTT for returning them to the catalogue in very good sound.
Great neglected performance
This is one of the best "Prague Symphony" out there. I have listened it on LP when I was a boy, and was very impressive with its romantic and dramatic reading by conductor Eugene Jochum and Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra. Sadly, it has been neglected for very long time in favour of some HIP performances. Many thanks for HDTT to bring back this great performance in excellent sound, it actually rivals LP version in my memory. The remastered is great, clean, detailed but warm, un-digital sounding. Highly recommend.
