More Jungle Drums - Morton Gould and His Orchestra

This often overlooked Morton Gould audiophile masterpiece was a follow-up release to the popular title from 1956 "Jungle Drums"
This release stands out for one crucial reason: it was released during the RCA Dynagroove era, which demoted the esteemed RCA Living Stereo releases from their prestigious position. The specific EQ used during the disc-making process, called Dynagroove, was originally intended to improve playback for customers with the limited equipment of the day by cutting dynamics and raising treble levels. However, this actually diminished the exceptional qualities that the Living Stereo brand was known for. Fortunately, this particular release was transferred from the master copy and thus, was not affected by the Dynagroove EQ. The sound captured at the Manhattan Center venue is bold and sumptuous, with a spectacular 3D quality that Gould's previous recordings from the same venue are renowned for. With Gould's signature finesse, the arrangements are both entrancing and irresistible. Don't miss out on this exquisitely delightful album, boasting superior sound quality and interpretation.
