Great musical tandem! New breath!
This is the true sound of the original analog recording! The sound is so accurate that you get the feeling of being close to the musicians, in the studio. Gorgeous compositions and original, very professional performance! The piano accompaniment deserves a separate high professional level of attention. And together they are a heaven for hearing and relaxation. Song announcements are entourage! Perfect solution! Well done for doing so. This is magic and exclusive! Of course - for the collection! :) - DSD256 Direct Stream Digital Download (Pure DSD)

Dee Alexander & Jeremy Kahn making Magic
After several listens I have decided that I enjoy this duo and that it truly is a good recording. As another reviewer stated the song announcements are a bit off putting (annoying). Nicely transferred by HDTT.
Dee alexander
Some sibliance on vocals, piano sounds great. Track announcements are annoying to me as I thought it was only on the previews...
Intimate atmosphere
It's like a recipe: the result depends on the cook. Inside the pot a warm black voice and a fluid and snapping piano. Mix it with the salt of a wonderful recording and long shivers are granted.
Vocal magic
I concur what another reviewer has already said - this is an excellent continuation of smooth, delightful vocal magic to Brian Perry’s ‘Lush Life’. A must listen for vocal jazz enthusiasts.

The jazz vocal/piano relationship is one of great simplicity, but also of great challenge. Both performers are overtly exposed to view and both must interact brilliantly to pull off a superb performance. That is what has happened here with Jeremy Kahn on piano and Dee Alexander on vocals. Both are consummate musicians, and their collaboration, performing jazz standards, is indeed magical. Jeremy’s accompaniment to Dee and his solos are as good as you’ll hear. Near perfection. Recorded directly onto a custom 8-track Studer/Revox tape recorder, using a custom stereo tube microphone on piano and the legendary Telefunken 251e on voice, the sound is stunningly natural and immediate. No EQ, no reverb. You hear just what was recorded in the studio.
