Released on August 1, 1958, Julie Is Her Name, Volume II serves as a refined continuation of Julie London's distinctive vocal style, first introduced in her 1955 debut album, Julie Is Her Name. Issued by Liberty Records and produced by Bobby Troup, London's husband and frequent collaborator, this seventh studio effort maintains the sparse, intimate arrangement that defined her early work, featuring only guitar and bass accompaniment. This minimalist approach allowed London's smoky, sultry voice to take center stage, creating a listening experience both personal and timeless.
