Extraordinary jazz!
A (too short) album of modern jazz performed by gifted musicicians and recorded by no less gifted technicians. The vivid impression is equal to get the quartet into your living room (first time the vibes sound in "Shimmering", you're almostv suffer a heart attack!). Excellent in all orders and a must have!

A Excellent Recording and Some Fine Musicians
To quote the liner notes" The recording is free of compression, limiting, reverb or anything articial, lending the nal sound and performance a completely natural and honest quality. And custom handmade stereo tube microphone was used on the vibes and a hand assembled Telefunken 251e was used on the tenor saxophone" is probably the best way to describe it. I love how the Xylophones come in out of no where on the left channel, while the Bass "floats" in between the Speakers instead of dead center. The Brushes.Cymbal work floats right of center. Very mellow and laid back and exciting all at once.
Ella Swings Clearly
You just have to play this to your friends and ask them what year they think this was recorded. Watch their jaws drop when you tell them this was done in 1958. Awesome work transferring from the original tapes. This is pure Ella, like you haven’t heard before, in your living room. Keep them coming!
Jason Roebke - Great stuff and team
Very high-quality sound and performance of the band! This recording is exactly from Must Have series!!!
