Excellent transfer
HDTT did a great job with this transfer. This is many times better than anything you will find in any other digital platform. The dynamics, stereo separation, everything is great! Classic recording.

Other works by Andrew Hill
I think the sound quality that sets it apart from the sound sources of other sites is wonderful. However, speaking of Andrew Hill, please release works such as "Black Fire" and "Judgment!", And Wayne Shorter's "Juju" and "Speak No Evil". I really hope.

The way it should sound!
Incredible space and resolution. Soundstage is opened up, unlike most Blue Note recordings that suffer from too much compression. Natural timbre to the instruments. Drums sound amazing. Wonderful job HDTT.
Andrew Hill - Compulsion
Sounds Fantastic! Compared waveform to the official cd release and wow is that compressed! This is so dynamic. Compulsion is one of Hill's lesser known recordings, but it's one of my very favorite. Must have for any Andrew Hill fan.
challenging music superbly rendered
Compulsion, one of Andrew Hill's string of masterworks on Blue Note, leans more to the free or experimental boundary of his work. While not the place to start with Hill's music, anyone who has been drawn to his music will want to hear this session. The material, while challenging, is played by an exceptional ensemble, and this transfer does the sonics full justice, even the difficult to reproduce microdynamics of the percussion.
