Classic
These are classic recordings, and you won't hear a better performance of either piece - anywhere, anytime. The Britten cello symphony, in particular, was written for Rostropovich, and this is the definitive performance. Excellent Decca sound throughout - more of their superb Britten recordings from HDTT would be most welcome!
