Very pleasant
Fantastic transfer. Nice warm, non-tiring sound. The saxophone is to the far right and the guitar to the far left, but it works for me and helps me to appreciate what both instrumentalists are doing. The music itself is both easy to listen to and sophisticated, mostly different in tempo and rhythm to what I’d call typical bossa nova (but again, it works for me) and has a general upbeat feel to it. Love how all four instruments play together.

Bossa Antigua - Paul Desmond Featuring Jim Hall
Excellent album and superb sound quality on DSD64 ! A must !

Paul Desmond - Bossa Antigua
A clean transfer but sadly, it really highlights the shortcomings of the original master. The sound of the instruments, particularly Jim Halls guitar, is muffled while the stereo separation seems exaggerated in the manner of early stereo recordings. There is very little Bossa Nova in the manner of the groundbreaking Stan Getz collaborations of the same as well. This may be a collectable for Paul Desmond fans but the original recording quality makes it less so for a generalist.
