Absolutely perfect
I bought this just to see how Solti would interpret Beethoven. I expected it to be very good, but was surprised and delighted to find it every bit as nuanced and powerful and moving as the other top tier renditions. Marvelous!

wonderful
Sir George does t always...great Beethoven...flawless transfer as well

Excellent recording.
I was reluctant to buy a remastered recording from the 1960s but the sound is exactly what I was searching for to use with a DAC.

Solti's VPO Beethoven
These performances are fantastic, bracing and full of combustible energy - better played and better recorded than Solti's Chicago remakes Had Decca seen fit to record an entire cycle with Solti and Vienna, it would have been as famous as that of Karajan in Berlin.
