Vintage Mancini
Early Mancini score not one of his classics but still good and fun to listen. The swinging sound of the era is perfectly captured. Recommended.

Not my Desert Island Choice for Music; in sound like this, a winner though
Not exactly Beethoven's 3rd, but plenty of nostalgia for those of us old enough to remember the TV show. And Mancini was always a quality player in the pop world. He gets royal engineering here from HDTT with its trademark Pure DSD 256 sound. The orchestra really sounds convicted, and they play the material beautifully. 4 stars for less-than-great music in great sound.
Another very good transfer
If Henry Mancini is your cup of tea, you'll likely enjoy this. It's pure vintage Mancini. I wanted to hear it because I enjoy the music from both Peter Gunn and Hatari. And this certainly hits some of those points. But, overall, for me this soundtrack is significantly less engaging and much less musically interesting. At the same time, this is a very nice transfer of what sounds like a good source tape. Sonically it hits the mark. So, if you know you like the music, don't hesitate. The sound quality will be better than any other release you've heard.
