Ernest Ansermet's interpretation
My experience is that he has more of a feel for conducting the romantic classics. Here, Falla needs more Spanish fire, articulation and life. The recording is excellent and should not be overlooked for classical lovers, but I suggest comparing it to an orchestra more suited to Spanish classics

Excellent performance & sound quality
The DSD64 when compared with the CD (remastered at 24/96) is more transparent and tighter in all hearing ranges. There is no edginess in the highest treble The overall sound is sweeter and the music is more enjoyable.

Vigorous music and performance - Superb Decca Sound!
I love this one - so lively, powerful and downright entertaining - just get it! The transfer is first rate - I've compared it to the Decca cd transfer (Decca Legends from 2000), and this new one just opens an already fine transfer further up. There are a few places where the sound from strings and flute is a little over the top, but why worry, when everything else is just so vivid and wonderful. Highly recommended!
