The pun is atrocious, but the tracks are fabulous. Back in the days when light classical music actually made it onto the pop charts – as late as 1950 or so – these were well-known pieces of popular music. In fact some of them were used and overused as background music for Farmer Gray cartoons etc. Not surprising; it's terrific music and deserves to be popular! It's popularity doesn't stop it from being delightful. Especially when played as well as this by the great musicians of the Boston Pops (actually Boston Symphony, but you knew that). Also, especially when the <> is this good. This is an original RCA Living Stereo Layton/Mohr recording. And it's been lovingly remastered into DXD by Bob Witrak of this website. That alone should tell you it's worth a listen. And I'm here to tell you that I have listened, and it sounds wonderful. The different sections of the Boston Pops all get to shine, and you get to hear it. Near-Demonstration Grade. Delightful music in superb sound. A total no-brainer here.
