First impressions on the "micro"
Well I tried to purchase the nano but it was on back order, so I changed and bought the micro iDSD black label instead. Connected the unit via the USB3 to Windows 10 PC with a 1TB SSD and Sony's very old headphones. First listening was Mahler 5th in DSD64. It was a revelation in detail, enjoyed the French horn air. Then tried Winton Marsalis/Galliano flac. This being one of my favorites I was amazed at all the new details I could hear. It was kind of easy to pick a background instrument and follow it despite Winton blowing the horn loud. I am very pleased with the micro iDSD Black label. Highly recommended. Now, I need headphones of recent vintage. and more dsd records.

The nano iDSD Black Label is one of the most high-resolution DACs on the market. It supports PCM up to 32/384 kHz and DSD up to 256 times the sample rate of a CD. It is also certified as ‘High-Res Audio’ by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and Japan Audio Society (JAS).
