“The results are in, and the University of Houston’s Moores Concert Chorale led by Betsy Cook Weber is again triumphant in its international endeavors. At the Grand Prix of Nations competition in Magdeburg, Germany, the Chorale earned gold awards in the following categories: pop jazz, youth choir and folk. It also took the World Championship (Ed: No. 1, in a ranking of 1,000 choirs) in Youth Choir. This marks the fourth international jaunt for the popular choir. The Concert Chorale previously made international splashes in 2009 at the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in Wales (2009), the Florilege Vocal de Tours in France (2011) and the Marktoberdorf International Choral Competition in Germany (2013).”
