Schwarzkopf und Szell werden in der Interpretation der Lieder von Richard Strauss für immer unerreichbar bleiben-ein Genuß!!
My wife, a former longtime professional music critic, specifically asked me to buy this recording after we heard a streamed version of it over Qobuz. The HDTT sound was even better. Great compsers and artists.
Thanks to this great recording, it's possible to understand the exact timber of Schwarzkopf's voice, with all the incredible nuances she was able to show. Strongly recommended!
This is a great recording of an always great interpreter of Mozart arias. Elizabeth Scharzkopf is always touching in Richard Strauss works. The "vinyl flair" is beautifully rendered in this recording
I believe in the power of desire hidden in music and in this his latest album with orchestra Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, supported by the "rabid" perfectionism of Szell, offers the ideal listening to the desert island. The sound quality of HDTT - full and round - annihilates any other reprint.
